Coal bag and Silvermine galloped five furlongs on the sand, the latter finishing in front in 1.7, after running their first three furlongs under a. tick unidleu '4os e-cs. Son o’ Mine worked a couple of rounds of the sand track, Cowan Lea was again trotting and cantering on the inside oval. . . . C'apey worked well over two rounds of the sand track. Bonogno worked nicely oven- three furlongs on the grass in 435-ees., without being -chased out. C-n the grass the maiden. Miss Shef, md Joy Spear gaUcped four furlongs. Joy Spear finished a bit in front, in 55 sees. Mendip went once round on the sand, striding out boldly and being afterwards exercised on the lead.
