Ip view of the alarming state created by Communists at. HupUlx and the consequent thrent, for the safety of foreigners at Hankow the Admiral commanding the Yangtse has requested the despatch of a detachment of troops to Hankow. Despatches from Hankow say that Chinese troops are arriving for the purpose of maintaining older, and that the ■j tv authorities adopted stern measures to discourage an uprising by beheading six Communists in the streets. The Reds are reported -to he slowly advancing upon Kinkiang.
