A meeting of the committee of the Manavatu Racing Club decided to protest against the proposed increase in the totalisatox tax. In place of the suggested increases it wars urged that the Government should! facilitate the
massage of the Gaming Bill introduced by Mr K .S. AVilliams. M.P.. providing for legalising the telegraphing of investments to racecourses and the publication of dividends.
