(From Our Own Correspondent.) EUCHRE AND DANCE. On Wednesday evening there was a large attendance at the final euchre anti dance held in aid of the funds for the Anglican Church. The points prizes for the season were awarded to Airs. King and to Mr. Basil Espin, while the prizes for, the evening’s games were won by Air. Martin, who played off with Mr. West, and Aliss Julian, who played off with Airs. 0. Eli a,son. The music for the dance was provided by Mrs. Wood, Aliss Sampson and Messrs W. Eliason and S. Nukn. A good supper was provided. GENERAL. Airs. 1). Smith, of Alidliirst, and Miss Sampson, of Hillsborough, are the guests of Mr. and Airs. King'. Last Wednesday afternoon the local hockey girls defeated Ramblers by 2 to 1. Aliss E, Hartley and Airs. Everitt made the local goals, while Aliss AI. Woollinms scored for Hawera. Mr. G. AToloney acted as referee.
