The eight-vear-old 'great-great-grand-son of Jules Verne, one of whose novels foreshadowed the submarine more than 50 years ago, lately launched a new French submarine at Toulon. Special classes in acoustics and. other technical subjects for would-be “talkie” operators are to be bold in Liverpool, and so many appliations have been received that the classes may have to be duplicated.
