Tho chairman of Tho Kilt ham School Committee ('Mr W. R.k-ketitis) presided. Dominion and outlined some of tire proposals which the! department intended to bring into effect. At the conclusion, of his remarks hearty vote's of thanks to the speaker on the. mot inn of tho chairman was 'carried' by neelamation. After-wards the director met delegates from Kivorloa, Isgaerc, Rotokaie, Manga taka .and Efthorn (School Committees. when discussion took pia'ce in regard to a .change in the present system of .control of the district dental service. Mr Saunders staid that .the. present arrange meats wore not .strictly iu- accordance with the .Department's requirements, it being considered: that the controlling body should be composed of a: delegate from each of the district .schoolsi The .meeting, however, was of tho opinion that the. Elt’ham committee had •rendered very good: service in directing the school's dental work. It was stated that at times the .committee had been ready to give information an-cl render assistance as required and delegates were convinced that- the existing .control was even better than that proposed by the department, as the control by a oc'niniit'tee •eif delegates might be some-; i.vhaV unwieldy in view ol the scattered position, off- the schools. After various questions relating to organisation! had been, discussed, a motion bv Mr Silver (Rawhitiroa) seconded by"Mr 11. €. Taylor (Ngaere), that dellegatelsi had every eonfidcu'ce in the E'ltham .committee’s c-cmtro] of .the dental! service and favoured! the continuance of the present ■system 1 of control, was carried unanimously. ■The director was heartily .thanked 1 for the information given ;to the meeting. '
