I\Etched (referee). , EXECUTIVE COIMMITTEEI MEETS. An executive meeting of the Taranaki Football: Association was held in Stratford last night, Mr T. W. Smith presiding. The resignation of Mr S. Bremner was accepted with regret. A letter from the New Zealand Football Association, recommending the association to approach headmasters of primary and secondary schools with a view to encouraging school Soccer was referred to the clubs. In this connection the secretary reported that the New Zealand Football Association hacl forwarded three footballs for use in •schools. It was decided to allot these balls to the northern committee. The Rangers: Oub advised it dicli not intend to play in the. Julian Cup contest. The question whether reinstatement was necessary, from senior to junior under existing conditions in. Taranaki is to be referred to the New Zealand: Football Association. The Manawatu Association asked for a game with a North Taranaki team at Palmerston North on July 12, but it was agreed to invite Manawatu to visit Taranaki on that date instead. The northern sub-committee was authorised to negotiate with South Auckland for a. match at New Plymouth, the committee to bear any cost and to have permission to call on South Taranaki
men.
