LOAN FROM GOVERNMENT

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., May 19. Advice has been received, in Palmer•ston North from Hon. G. W. Forbes that, in reply to requests from the Flaxmillers’ Association to provide a subsidy of £4OOO for the establishment of a. stabilisation, fund, tbe Government is willing to lend the association np to this sum to enable it to establish its own stabilisation fund, such i Joan to bear interest at 5 per cent. It \ will require to be secured by a joint and several guarantee by the millers who are members of the association and will ho repayable over such a period as is decided by the State Advances Eoard, through which the loan will be arranged.
