PRETTY HANDKERCHIEF BAG
I know my girl readers like hints for -spending hatf-nours- in interesting and profitable ways. Here is a simple plan for making a pretty bag from the dainty mercerised handkerchiefs ith effective borders. Gii-o-ose two oi patterns to suit your taste, and lay them together crosswise, so that ’ there are eight points. . . Fix them neatly together by a circle of feather stitching, which leaves the points just outside. Then in the upper handkerchief out out a circle about four inches in diameter—not more, bew the raw edge between a double piece of ribbon one inch wide. Hun two cords or narrow pieces of ribbon through this, and draw up in the usual way.
