The Opunake Harbour Board is apparently making every preparation necessary in case the proposed loan is carried. At the last meeting it was resolved that the term of the loan of £20,000 should be 25 years, and that an assurance be secured from Mr Vickerman that there is sufficient stone of suitable size to complete the mole to the 900-foot mark available in the area proposed to be worked between the Otahi and AVaiau Rivers.
