ASSISTED IMMIGRATION
AUSTPALIAN RESUMPTION. PARTIAL SCHEME APPROVED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Jan. 18. The Overseas Settlement Department has issued correspondence with the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, which shows that the latter, after suspending assisted immigration almost completely, has now agreed to a partial resumption, under which women for domestic service, boy farm learners and nominated dependents of people, already settled in Australia. will be admitted as assisted immigrants.
