OLD MAN ROBBED

DRINKING BOUT SEQUEL, (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WAH’UKURAU, Jan. 20. Edward Lealiey, 26 years of age, a labourer, appeared in the police court this morning charged with robbing an old man, Bartholomew Maloney, of eleven shillings and also brutally assaulting him. It appears the pair had been drinking during the day of January 6 and when Maloney went to lie in a shed the offence was committed.

Making no statement, accused pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court by Justices of the Peace, for sentence.
