In a banner match yesterday afternoon, six rinks from the Park Bowling Club beat the Bawera Club’s Wednesday bowlers on their own green by a margin of three points, the totals being 141 and 138.
Mr J. J. Goodwin (president), on behalf of the 1 visitors, thanked the Hawera players for tlieir excellent hospitality. The Mamaia versus Opunake game, played on the Mamaia green yesterday, was in the second round of the southern shield,. Mamaia won by 74 points to 53. A nice afternoon tea was provided by the ladies.
