STUDENT’S SUICIDE

POISON FROM LABORATORY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 6. The inquest was 'concluded to-day into the death of Richard Daniel Duder, aged 17 years, who was found in a state of collapse on the Ricearton road on November 29 and died in the Christchurch hospital.

Duder came from England on November 3 to take a\ course at Canterbury Agricultural College, but as he was not to be enrolled till this year he was allowed to 1 reside at the college in the meantime, provided he worked in order to. gain experience. On November 29 he informed the director that he did not like the life and was given permission to come into Christchurch and send a cablegram to 'his mother. That evening Duder was found as stated. Though conscious he refused to say anything. Evidence wais given to-day that Duder had .obtained poison from the veterinary surgeon’s laboratory 'alt the college, and a verdict of death from poison self-administered was returned.
