WOMEN AS LEADERS
OBJECTION BY MEN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) LONDON, Jan. f. Women teachers now assembled in conference at Canterbury are highly indignant that there are men in their own profession who declare that they cannot work under women. Mrs. F. Day, a member of the central council, asked: Why should they object? Prime Ministers worked under Queens, and public servants to-day worked’ under Miss Bondfield. Soldiers had followed Boadioea and Joan of Arc. The conference passed a resolution that all avenues of promotion should be open to women equally with men. “The “Daily Express,” in an editorial, supports the men, levy people, men or ’ women, liking working under a iwoman. The gift of using power and authority tactfully was rarely bestowed on a woman.
