ASSAULT ON WOMAN. (By Xelefi^auh—Bros* Association.) HAMILTON, Nov. 15. Joseph John Blennerhassett, aged 32, was to-day charged with a, breach of his prohibition order and with an assault on a. young woman, and was commuted to Roto Roa Island 1 for twelve months. The evidence showed that the accused using insulting wordis to the woman and caught her bv the neck and threatened to kill her.

Counsel attributed his client’s lapse to drink.
