SINGAPORE POLICY

DECISION TO STAND. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 10.30 a.m. to-day. LONDON, Nov. 15. It is reliably stated that there is no -prospect of the Government modifying its Singapore base, policy. The Australian Press Association was informed: “It- is clearly explained that Cabinet’s plan does nob mean the suspension of the work; merely to go slow. It is parallel with the Rt. Hon. J. 11. Scullin’ s request to slow down migration. Australia should realise that the principle is as fair one way a-s the other, and that defence and migration are allied -problems,.”
