FOR. OIL-BORING OPERATIONS. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 10.15. a.m. to-day.. BRISBANE. Nov. 16. Whether foreign capital should be permitted in the search, for oil in Queensland is the subject of considerable discussion consequent on a Bill in the Legislative Assembly giving that right to foreign investors. The Minister of Mines quoted authorities showing that all oil-producing countries permitted the introduction of foreign capital with reservations. H© intended to safeguard British interests. The Bill was read; a second time.
