MANGATOKI.
(From Our Own Correspondent). THE BALL. The ball Avihich Avas held in the Mangatoki Hall last Wednesday evening proved a great success. The ball-room Avas decorated Avith orange and blue streamers and greenery. Coburn’s Star Orchestra supplied the music, Avhile extras Were played by Miss Perry and Mr. Brown. PERSONAL. Mr. J. J. Sulzberger, who-had the misfortune to. break his: leg some three weeks ago, is still an inmate of the HaAvera Hospital. Mrs. Farnall, who has been confined to her bed, is slowly improving. Mrs. W. Clarke is spending a feAv da.ys' here. Miss Fernall, who was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. G. Pease, has returned home. Mrs. Lanibie is spending a holiday in Wellington. Miss Trixie Carter is on holiday at Manaia. Tennis, which was in full swing, has been marred somewhat by the recent rains.
