WOMAN KILLED BY CAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 15. In the Supreme Court John Alton, apiarist, of Upper Hutt, is seeking £23 12s fid special and £2300 general damages from Frederick Charles Facer in connection with the death of his wife who was struck by defendant’s motorcar near Upper Hutt on August 10. Negligence on various grounds is alleged, while the defence is a denial of negligence. and it is contended that the accident was due to Mrs. Alton walking on the bitumen track instead of on t-lie metal at the side, that she was wearing a black dress, which impaired visibility, and that the .fatal injuries were caused by her clinging to' the bicycle she was wheeling, the wheel of which was caught by the car.
