LARRIKINISM IN WELLINGTON.

Lavrikinism has been in evidence at Wellington at Sunday evening concerts and to-day an example was made of a young man picked out in the gallery who had been guilty of what is known as “administering the rasberry. ” It was mentioned that on account of such conduct, there was difficulty in getting good artists to take part. Tlie magistrate agreed to the suppression of accused’s name. He was only onea of a number of offenders. A line of three pounds, however, was | imposed. j A disturbance at. a theatre at Miramar led to a youth from that district, also coming before the bench, and again the name was suppressed, the magistrate remarking he would take counsel’s word that accused had learned liis lesson. No fine was imposed, hut accused was ordered to pay five shillings towards costs.
