MEMBERS’ SALARIES.
QUESTION again raised. (Bv Telegraph —Special to the Star.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 13. This question ha,s again been subject to a deputation to the Prime Minister. There is, however, lack of unanimity among the parties on the proposal to reinstate the £SO catt to bring the salary to £SOO, its original -point prior to retrenchment. One prominent, member, whose position carries influence with the Opposition, declared that until lie is satisfied measures Grave -been taken to remedy unemployment, ho will not support an increase in members’, salaries.
