Weather conditions were good for training operations this morning. The trial grass track was available for fast work, but was very heavy ami was not made much use of. Caretaker Morse has the two-year-old track under repair, and a few days will see it in good shape for the youngsters’ preliminary work, in the meantime the hurdle track is being used, the obstacles having been removed. As soon as the tracks dry sufficiently, trainers are in hopes of giving their juveniles, some of which are ready, a try-out on the outside of the course proper. W. Pine was first to work this morning, giving Denier a working gallop the reverse way round on the grass, and Ross Ferry a four-furlong run on the same track, neither beingon a time-making mission Annoyer strode over a round on the sand, hitting out well. Bisox and Silvermine hopped off at the half-mile post on the sand. Silvermine getting an advantage. The pair ran a good half-mile, Silvermine finishing a head, in front in 53sec. Llanore hit out well in her pace work. Tenacro was pottered about on the inside.

Partaga and Latakia ran lour furlongs down the hack of the sand track in 54 2-osec.

Benz-o-ra’i had his first fast gallop for some time. Going on the grass lie. ran three furlongs in 41 3-5.
