A Chicago message states that Jack Cope was the creator of a new record for a delayed drop. Going to 15,000 feet altitude, ho stepped off a plane and dropped .13,000 feeit .'before be released the parachute cord, .the terrific strain almost wrecked the parachute, but Cope managed to land safely.
