NEIGHBOUR'S LETTERS. AN INTERVIEW AT WANG AN Cl. j (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND An- 12. In ciomicc.tiioii with the Elsie Walker case, letters written to Airs Frank Ba.yjy (aunt of Elsie 'Walker) by Mrs Tliomasen. who was form cry a. neighbour of the Bayty's at Papainoa and now resides in the Wanganui River district, are published, to-night. The letters were handed to the police by the Bayiv family’s solicitors at the request of William Doyly, who said the letters were worrying his mother and' should- bo referred to the police. The chief subject- of the letters is a statement that ‘••'Balil , » was on a certain train at a -particular time and was seen both by the writer of the 'tetters, and Mrs Langdon. It is stated that Mrs Baviy later received/ front Mrs Thomcvyen a telegram asking her to- see her urgently, as “Truth” was .seeing her next. Mr». Bayly went to Wanganui, and by laippointment Airs Thomason met her at Foster’s Hotel about June 21. j By arrangement with Airs Ba.vllv, detectives listened to the conversation in an adjoining i - oom. The other woman alleged by Airs Thom assn to have seen Bill Badly in the train was interviewed by the -police and it is stated that ishe denied seeing him.
