AGRICULTURAL WORK.
\ HAWERA HIGH SCHOOL. DEMONSTRATION TO STUDENTS. In order to give Mr. J. Renyard, departmental inspector of technical schools from Wellington, a demonstration of the scheme for instructing the agriculture students of the Hawera High School in the practical work of a dairy farm, abuot fourteen of the boys vjsited Mr. H. C. Wills’ farm on the Ketemarae lload yesterday. They were accompanied by the headmaster (Mr. A. Gray) and Mr. J. W. J. Harding, a. member of the Board of Governors.
Mr. Wills conducted them over the milking sited and milk stand, which are both models !of cleanliness and convenience, and also over some of the paddocks and the ensilage pits. He gave them useful instruction on the essentials that should be found on a small one man dairy farm, the boys following his remarks closely and intelligently. Mr. Benyard said he was much impressed with such visits and considered them a very useful part of the work of the agriculture class At the conclusion Mr. Gray expressed thanks to Mr. Wills for his kindness and his carefully worded demonstration. Mr. Wills stating in reply that he was always willing to help in the work of the school.
