. ROBBERIES CONTINUE. LONG LIST OF CASES. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.! Received 10.35 a.m. to-day. SYDNEY, July 16. Sydney’s crime wave was continued during the past week, there being 54 cases of robberies of shops and dwellings. The list was increased by 30 small miscellaneous thefts. Twentythree motor cars are reported to have been stolen.

The police last nigh arrested five men, who are believed to have been responsible for car thefts. Fifteen motor cycles and cars have been recovered, some from dams and river beds, where they were thrown when the gang became frightened.
