SWIFT AND' COMPANY’S LICENSE (By Telegraph—Special to the Star.) 'WELLINGTON, July 3. The statement recently published in these columns that the big American meat operators. Swift and Co., had ap plied to the Government for a license to buy meat'in New; Zealand for export was referred to the Hon. George Forbes, Minister of Agriculture, who confirmed it. The application for a license to buy for export has been made and does not involve a license to kill moat in New Zealand, explained the Minister, who added that the matter had not yet been (considered by the Government.
