A! aurict) Judd, aged 14, who was burned by an. explosion of gas in the Judd Foundry on Friday night, died in hospital this morning, . His father, John J.ucLdi. who was also burned, was aide to i'eave hospital to-day. SHOT WITH PEA-RIFLE. AUCKLAND, April 8. i Roy Jones, postmaster at Manurewa., I was found deaid at 6 a.m. in a shed at| the back of the Post Office by a phone exchange operator. Death was caused bv a shot, evidently discharged from iai pea-rifle, probably about twelve hours earlier. Deceased was a single man,, aged 41, and had been postmaster at Mianurawa for over two years. Very recently he was notified of promotion to the. Auckland: East Post Office. SEVERE SHOCK SUSTAINED. CHRISTCHURCH. April 8. J. Worsdale, a married man, received an electric shock at the Lake Cole-ridge power house on Friday and was sent- to hospital in a serious condition. suffering from burns- on the face and arms. His clothes became ignited by an electrical discharge when dusting cables.
