PEDIGREES AT AUCTION. Mil, J. R. CORRIGAN’S OFFERINGS. A gathering of over 150 breeders and others interested assembled at Mr J. Ri. Corrigan’s annual sale of trotting stock held at the Fantliam Street stables yesterday. As. reported in the laite edition of the “Star” yesterday, the lots catalogued . gave representation of leading sires, including such well - known names as Worthy Bingen, Gold Bell, Travis Ax-worthy. Worthy Bond, Nelson Bingen, Brent Locanda, and Native King. The sale was conducted by Lie New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Society, Ltd., in conjunction with Messrs Wright Stephenson, Ltd. Messrs C. A. Trotter and P. G. Rudd wielded the hammer. Bidding was slow during the early stages, but improved later in the day. Several of the lots brought into the ring were passed, including a bid of l(Xf guineas received for a. three-year-old fillv sired bv Nelson Derby from Gold Girl. THe top price was 1321 guineas, paid by Mr L. Bolton, of Kaponga. for a. 4yeairold mare by the imported sire Petereta, from Lady John. Chestnut colt, 2ysrs, by Ariel Bingham—Gold' Girl.—Mr A. Far lane.. Palmerston North, 37gns. Brown colt, yearling, by Worthy Bingen—Lady Haldane. —Mr -T. G. Hill, Bunnvthome. SOgns.
