WEDDING.

T A Y LO ivi—DON J\ r iilL L Y. A -pretty wedding was- solemnised on Easter Monday, at St. Barnaba’s Cliurch, Opunake, by the vicar - , the Rev. Mi: Davies, the contracting- parties being Barbara Ethel, only daughter of Mr and Mrs C. Donnelly, Opunake, and Mr Hugh. Ivor Godfrey Taylor, of the North End branch, Bank of New Zealand, Wellington, and third son of Mr and Mrs Godfrey Taylor, Pahiatua. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a gown of white crepe-de-ehene with d: apings of radium lace which formed an uneven hemline. She also wore the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet of roses and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were- Miss Sylvia Taylor (chief) and Miss Ellva JFfeatTey, whoi wore pretty frocks of erepe-de-chene toning from maize to lemon shades-, and carried bouquets of lavender and maize flowers. She was also at. tended by a little flower girl, Gladys Baylis, who w-ore a dainty frock of maize crepe-de-chene and carried a basket of autumn flowers. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr G. R. Taylor, Wellington, and those of the groomsman by Mr Bruce Carrol, Hawera. The church had been prettily decorated by friends of the bride, and the service was choral, the organist being Mrs Stevenson. After the ceremony the bridal party and guests adjourned to the borne of the bride’s parents where breakfast was partaken of and the .usual. toasts honoured. The esteem in which the young couple were held was shown by the numerous and beautiful presents received. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a handsome case of xylonite ware, and to the bridesmaids gold engraved armlets, and the little flower girl received a string a pearls. The bride’s gift to the bridegroom was a- dressing case of ebony ware. The bride’s mother wore beige erepe-do-chene, relieved with dark shades of wine and hat and furs to match. Mrs Godfrey Taylor, the bridegroom’s mother, wore wedgewood blue, relieved with grey. Abong the relatives present were Mrs A. Donnelly, wearing blue crepe-de-ehene; Mrs Sivwright, blue velvet Russian coat trimmed with grey fur; Mrs Power, vieux rose crepe-de-chene; MrsW. D. Harris, black with Oriental trimmings; Miss Taylor wine coloured crepe-de-chene. The happy couple left by car for the south, the bride wearing a. smart grey tailored coat and skirt, ■with kat and furs to tone.
