Received 10.50 a.m. to-day. LONDON, April 2. Heated arguments preceded the Independent Labour Party’is conference decision by 161 votes to 125, that, its representatives in the House of Commons must oppose war 'credits. An cx-Minister, Air ghinwe'd, declared: “The decision means that if Labour comes into power we would oppose all war and air force credits. I would take instructions from tmy constituents. not this conference.” There was" much discussion afterwards on the embarrassing effect of the decision on the elections and regret, was expressed that it was passed so precipitately. - - -■
