ASHBURTON WINS AGAIN.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.; WANGANUI, Feb. 2S. Tlu' Dominion championship band contest was continued at Wanganui today. The Ilawera Band was third in the second B. grade test and New Plymouth players were first and third in the euphonium solo. To-day’s results are:— B. GRADE SECOND TEST. Ashburton, S 7 points, £ls 1 Hastings Citizens, 85, £7 10s 2 ilawera Municipal, S 4, £5 8s 4d . . 3 Also competed: Taranaki Regimental S 3; Feilding, SO; New Plymouth Citizens. 75. The contest to-morrow will be under vice-Eegal patronage, the Governor-Gen-eral and Lady Fergusson attending to hear the final of the A. grade bands. The following is the aggregate of the winners of the B. grade: Ashburton, £6O. 17.1 points; Ilawera, £4O, T 67; Hastings, £2O. 166; Taranaki Regimental, £lO, 162.'
