KIA ORA CLUB COMPETITIONS' Keen interest is being shown in the competitions run by the Kia Ora Croquet Club iu Hawera. > J Yesterday there was a match for the Kia Ora Ferns, presented to the club by; Mrs J. M. Collins, of the South Road. This match was the first played and the winners were Mrs Dowling and Mrs Milroy. ‘ The conditions of the competition are championship, for players of a handicap of bisques or less. The Dingle Buttons were also played for and were won by Mrs Meyrick and Mrs Burgess, the previous winners being Mrs Evans and Mrs Adamson. NORTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIP. ADDITIONAL RESULTS. Matches in the North Island croquet championship were continued at New Plymouth yesterday. Additional results were as under: — LADIES’ OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. Miss Skeet defeated Miss J. A. Evans
20 — 21. In the semi-final of the second life, Mrs Waters defeated Mrs Jarvie, 26—« 24. CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLES. Final. —Mesdames Gambrill and Pitcaithley defeated Mesdame s Waters and Petrie, 26—13. HANDICAP SINGLES. Semi-final. —Mrs Waters defeated Mrs Gambrill, 26 —11.
