Professor Valdemares, the Lithuanian Dictator, who is notorious in League of Nations circles for long, bellicose speeches, and who has the reputation of speaking sixteen languages, has discovered a plot to overthrow the Government. _ Eighteen of the highest officers of cne Kovno garrison have been arrest ed, including the Chief of the General Staff, Generali Plechavitehius. According to Warsaw despatches almost the whole of Lithuania is restive and open mutiny is expected.
