AWARD SLIGHTLY AMENDED. (By telegraph—Press Association.) » WELLINGTON, Jan. 23. A meeting of the Conciliation Council was held to-day to consider applications by the union of workers for an increase of wages and other alterations to the present award covering the work of storemen employed in wool and grain stores throughout the Dominion.

Complete agreement upon all the clauses in dispute was arranged between the parties, and with the exception of some minor alterations, the new schedule of working conditions is upon the same lines as the existing award.

The Arbitration Court will he requested to embody the new conditions in an award of the court at its next sitting in Wellington.
