ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
AN INFANTS DEATH. (Ey Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. Dec' 24. An impiest was. held to-day touching on the death of Itae Vernon Saul, aged 2 years 3 months. who was drowned at the I’etone beach on Saturday. The evidence of the mother and tv sister, Joan, aged seven, showed that the child was paddling with Joan in shallow water and’ fell face downwards. They were alone Joan lifted the child and carried her home. The doctor certified, after using artificial resperation for half an hour without result, death was due to di owning. The coroner returned a verdict accordingly adding that no blame was due to anyone.
