GONVILEE v. HAWERA. T'lie enthusiasm o± ! 'bowlers is well known and it received a striking- confirmation yesterday when, despite heavy rain, four rinks from. Gonville- (Wanganui) Club, who had come to: try conclusions with a team from the Hawera Club, resolved after consultation toi finish the match. Overcoats and umbrellas were requisitioned and the match ended in a win for the local men by a margin of 32 points. The match was timed to begin in the morning, but was postponed till the afternoon. Twentyone heads were played and results (G-onville players •Doing mention ed first) wore as follow:

The visitors' were l welcomed by the Hawera president (Air G. A. Burgess) and the. hospitality of the -local players was aicknowledged by Air Bell on behalf of the visitors.
