At the wool sales, 9978 bales were •offered, of which 5096 were Australian and: 3952 New Zealand. There was a large selection of merinos, mostly, second-hand and of a miscellaneous character, a good offering of slipes, and a. moderate lot of greasy crossbreds. The Home* trade competed freely. and there were few withdrawals. Prices were firm.
