A remarkable accident of the * ‘ didn’t know it was loaded’’ variety occurred ,a,t Manly, when Victor Simons, while visiting friends, allowed bis. throe-year-old son to play "with a pea rifle without ascertaining if it was- loaded. The boy pulled the trigger and Simons staggered back, shot in the chest. He was taken to -the hospital', but ithe injury was not serious.
