Sir Francis Bernard Dicksee, •K.C.V.O.- was born in London on November 27, 1853. He was the eldest eon of the late Tho.s. F. Dicksee. and was created a Knight in 1925. A celebrated artist, lie first exhibited at tbo Rovin’! Academy when he was 23 years of age. He was elected president of the Academy in 1924.
