QUEEN CARNIVAL DANCE

The euchre party and dance held in the Matapu Hall last Wednesday night in aid of the Green candidate in the Kaponga Municipal Band’s queen catnival was a pronounced success both socially .and financially, the sum of £S odd being cleared and a good night’s entertainment being enjoyed by the gathering. The euchre players played ekweu games, AA'hich lasted till cloven o clock, till finally the first prizes Avenk to Mr Tom Huckstep and Mrs Evans and the consolation prizes to Mr White and Mrs Olsen. After the floor Avas cleared the band played dance music, AA-hile young and old folk danced the night through. Extras were played by Misses Mabel Guy and Bessie Seed, and Messrs Martin Power and A. Guy. of Kaponga, acred as Ms.C.
