AUROA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) On Wednesday evening, in spite of the inclement weather, a very successful dance to celebrate the opening of the local tennis courts for the new season was held in the hall. Visitors were present from all round the district. Coburn’s orchestra supplied excellent music with extras given by Miss Corbett, Mrs M. Haves and Mr Brocker. Messrs J. Bigham and M. Eaves capably carried out the duties of M.C. Several interesting novelty dances were given. The spot waltzes were won by Mr and Mrs M. Eaves and Mr A. Hodge and partner, while the Monte Carlo prize went to Mr J. Mouat and Mrs Eliason. The school mistress, Miss Heal, has resumed duties after an interesting and extensive tour abroad. Although there has been much rough and unseasonable weather, the milk supply is keeping up well..
