An indication of the high regard in which" the late Mrs O. J. Dolan was hehl all over the district was the large and representative attendance of friends from every part of South Taranaki at the funeral, wlrich took place this afternoon. A long cortege followed from St. Joseph’s Church to the Ha.wera. Cemetery, where the burial service was conducted by Rev. Father Cullen. The bearers were Messrs Jas. Bartlett, G. Moosman. W. A. Quin, W. O’Callaghan T. Franklin, and J. Lavery. Many beautiful wreaths were sent by friends from many parts'of the district. Mr. Roderick Paterson, for very manv years supervising engineer for fh© ‘Union Steamship Company, died this morning at Stanley Bay after a comparatively short illness, stated a Press Association message from Auckland.
