Mr. L. J. Bull wrote to the Chamber of Commerce, at its meeting hast night, to say that, as he is to retire from the position of postmaster on October 24, and automatically relinquish his seat 011 the council, he took he opportunity of expressing appreciation of the in-aria hie courtesy and consideration extended to him by .* the chamber during his term of office. The pleasant relations existing between them had afforded him the greatest pleasure and satisfaction, and it was with considerable regret that he hade members an official farewell.
