DELAY ON THE COAST. WELLINGTON HARBOUR BOARD PROTESTS. ißv TVleerayti—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 27. . The Wellington Harbour Board is again, on the warpath against the system of flat rate freights from all ports in the Dominion. Opponents stated that evidence was accumulating from year to year against- it. Vessels were kept 48 days per six months on. the coast at an estimated loss of £555,400. A far quicker and more efficient service could be given if the time were cut down. One speaker said that the system was a relic, of the sailing Ship days. Eventually a motion of protest passed: two years ago was reaffirmed, with one dissentient. *
