ELECTRICAL WIREMEN.

REGISTRATION BILL. (By Telegraph—Special to The Star.) -WELLINGTON, Sept. 18. The Electrical Wiremen’s Registration Bill has been reported from the Labour Bills Committee. The measure seeks to authorise unregistered wiremen to undertake certain limited classes of wiring. The committee lias added the requirements that such a person must have been engaged for three years in this work before receiving the limited registration certificate, and if he carries out emergency work: it shall be properly tested within 24 hours. A clause allowing apprentices to do electrical wiring, if deemed competent by their employers, has been struck out.
