So far the team has won six and lost two games, on© of the defeats being sustained at the hands of Manavvhenua at Palmerston North last week. The scores of 20 to 16 showed, however, that the margin between the teams was small, and another keen game is expected to-morrow. The curtain-raiser, which was to have been provided by the Hawera High School and Star teams in the provincial fourth grade final, lias been cancelled owing to the inability, through the vacation, of the school team to fulfil the engagement. As the eurtain-rlaiser an endeavour is being made, conditional on the teams being able to travel, for the meeting of Toko and Clifton in the junior semifinal.
