The representative match, Taranaki v. Wanganui, was played under perfect weather and ground conditions. A crowd of 7000 witnessed the return match between these two teams, which was staged at New Plymouth on Saturday. The home forwards held a slight advantage in all branches of the game, but the visiting backs were not nearly the equal of the Taranaki selection.
