PREPARING" FOR THE CAMPAIGN HON O. J.IIAWKEN AT OPUNAKE. A meeting of the Hon. 0. •). Hawken’s supporters was held in the Opunake Town Hall on Monday evening, and was well attended. Delegates were present from all parts of the electorate. The meeting was not open to the Press. Mr. J. S. Tosland was appointed chairman by the meeting. The executive committee, of the Reform Party for Egmont electorate, consisting of 15 members representing all parts of the area. was elected. Mr. T. B. Crump, of Eltliam. was appointed chairman of the executive committee.
Mr. Hawken addressed his supporters on matters relating to the Reform Party, and after votes of thanks to and confidence in Mr. Hawken had been passed the meeting closed with singing “For he’s a iolly good fel- ■ low,” and this was followed by cheers.
